Job Description

Our company is embarking on an ambitious project to create a new destination portal for a vertical market application tailored towards corporations. We are building a brand new team and are looking for web UI developers. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of modern web architecture with experience in developing commercial web sites utilizing leading edge web technologies. Experience must also include engineering solutions to address fault-tolerance, redundancy, heavy usage scenarios and disaster recovery situations. Solutions created must operate on the LAMP software stack and must be able to leverage streaming and interactive content.

Candidates must be results-oriented and enjoy taking ownership of highly visible projects that require focus on details and elegant user experiences. To be successful candidates must understand the full breadth of technologies needed to operate a high-profile, customer facing website from application tuning and configuration to backend interfaces.

Candidates must be extremely creative and resourceful in their problem solving while understanding and applying elements of the team's overarching strategic objectives into each project. The ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities while working effectively with a range of personalities and technical backgrounds, both independently and in team settings is extremely important. Candidates must be software engineers at heart, while exhibiting more creative flair in their ideas and solutions with innovation and creativity using the latest web technologies

Required Skills and Experience

Technical knowledge in all phases of the web application delivery process, from inception through development, QA, and post-release support.
Responsible for producing a high-quality and high-performance web based software
5 plus years of experience developing B2C or B2B websites, Ecommerce applications and portals using industry standard web technologies within a multi-tier architecture
Experience with Google Web Toolkit (GWT) a plus
Strong foundation in Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Databases, Networking, and Web protocols
Solid knowledge of leading edge programming languages and frameworks.
Experience in browser idiosyncrasies (IE, Firefox, Safari) across platforms
Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills through cooperative approaches
Ability to innovate, prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure to deliver projects on-time
Ability to handle complex projects, customer expectations, and rapidly evolving user requirements
Process-oriented thinking with aptitude for analyzing potential issues and implementing solutions
Strong working experience with Agile methodology, Scrum techniques and Test Driven Development
Strong Communications skills
Experience in integrating legacy systems and technologies
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline
