Job Description

Reporting to the London R&D Development Manager this is a key role in ensuring the department operates effectively, resources are efficiently utilised, project timescales are met, and department processes are standards are adhered to and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the London R&D Development Manager, and in their absence manage the day-to-day running of the department, providing a point of escalation for interfacing departments.
  • Schedule project tasks and plan team workloads in accordance with client and strategic priorities.
  • Track project progress tasks, milestones, resources, and actions.
  • Monitor project budget, risks, issues and changes and escalate where appropriate.
  • Generate regular project status reports and departmental reports including monthly dashboards and detailed reports.
  • Co-ordinate development of the product roadmap, maintain the release schedule and planned release functionality.
  • Facilitate communication within the team, between management, developers, testers, and implementers and with outside departments such as Product Management and Professional Services.
  • Manage FXBO DLC processes including process definition, documentation, communication and assurance.
  • Define and maintain templates and standards for information used throughout the FXBO SDL.
  • Assist with the continuously improvement of the R&D department’s SharePoint site.
  • Assist with the managing the interfacing of enterprise CRM, scheduling, and time and expense systems and perform systems administration.
  • Generate diagrams and presentations for Sales, Executive, User Group and Board Meetings.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven experience of Project Management within Software Development.
  • Have the ability to handle and manage multiple small project groups running concurrently, combined with BAU activities.
  • Experienced in MS Office including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisation and negotiating skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Be adept at reporting and producing documents to a high standard.
  • Ability to apply pragmatic thinking to problem solving in a project context.
  • A 'can do' attitude, a keen willingness to learn, flexible, willing to help others, and develop as a pivotal member of the team.
