Job Description

As part of a software implementation team, working with experienced Business Consultants, the Associate Business Consultant role requires the analysis of customer requirements for highly specialised financial software functionality, and implements the functionality that meets these requirements.

The Associate Business consultant will have a good understanding of the operations of Bank or Corporate treasury and financial markets. Practical experience and involvement of implementing and supporting Treasury Management systems is an asset

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate and considered analysis of issues along with appropriate solutions to meet the client’s requirements.
  • Configuration of the Application to accurately represent the clients business and meet their functional requirements
  • Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate improved client processes and smooth project implementation
  • Creation of Business Requirements and Functional Specifications as part of the customization process including planning, documentation and execution of supporting test cases.
  • Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to defined specifications/ requirements.
  • Drive client / partner focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of project tasks
  • Deliver quality training to clients enhancing company Education Services brand
  • Support pre-sales, scoping and requirement definition programmes
  • Assist the drive to improve client / partner focus to increase client satisfaction and reference ability.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Proven experience in the financial industry, preferably working in a large corporate, bank and / or Treasury Management software vendor
  • A demonstrable understanding of work flow and functions within a bank or corporate treasury
  • Knowledge of financial industry, instruments and markets
  • Good Customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and project planning skills
  • A proven track record in project work
  • An enthusiasm for taking responsibility
  • A self-motivated and hard working individual who is goal orientated, able to work with minimal supervision and contribute effectively to the team.
  • A passion for knowledge
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written.
  • A working knowledge in information systems, specifically UNIX/Windows NT environments is a plus
  • Minimum - degree level education
  • Must be willing to travel
