Job Description

The Cash Management Business Consultant operates as part of the software implementation team. The role requires working with clients to perform analysis of customer Cash Management functional requirements for Wallstreet’s highly specialized Suite financial software, determining and documenting the scope of Cash Management functionality to be implemented in the application, documenting specifications and the configuration and implementation of the software functionality to meet the client requirements.

The Business Consultant will have strong experience implementing software solutions, ideally within the Corporate / Treasury space and specifically the Cash Management and Cash Accounting functions. The ability to operate within a team environment, sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues and clients, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate and considered analysis of issues along with appropriate solutions to meet the client’s requirements
  • Configuration of the application to accurately represent the clients business and meet their functional requirements
  • Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate improved client processes and smooth project implementation
  • Working with Technical Consultants to develop solution design and build for customer specific development, including interfaces
  • Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to defined specifications/ requirements
  • Drive client / partner focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of project tasks
  • Support pre-sales, scoping and requirement definition programs

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the corporate treasury or financial markets environments is desirable, in addition to specialized experience such as having worked with other Treasury and Cash Management systems
  • The ability to translate conceptual client functional and processing requirements into practical application configuration
  • Must be willing to travel extensively
  • Extensive Cash Management knowledge and experience with
    • Banks, Bank Accounts, Banking management structures including funding and concentration management and processing
    • Cash forecasting and Liquidity Management including interaction with multiple Receivables and Payables processes
    • Bank statement processing including BAI, BAI2 and SWIFT current day and prior day processing, and Bank statement reconciliation
    • Bank payment and acknowledgement processing using a variety of formats including FedWire, ACH, SWIFT and International payment standards
    • In-House Banking
    • Cash Accounting
  • Computer skills including:
    • In depth experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio.
    • Knowledge of programming logic
    • Familiarity with XML and SQL
  • Knowledge of implementation/upgrade processes
  • A proven track record in project work is valued, including:
    • Ability to manage the client expectations on deliverables Organizational planning skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
    • Good Customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • An enthusiasm for taking responsibility and a passion for knowledge
  • A self-motivated and hard working individual who is goal orientated, able to work with minimal supervision but also effectively as part of a team
