Job Description

As part of a software implementation team, the Associate Business Consultant Trainee will learn to assist clients with resolutions of issues, analyze customer requirements for highly specialized financial software functionality, implement software functionality that meets these requirements, and write functional specifications for customer specific development items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate and considered analysis of issues along with appropriate solutions to meet the client’s requirements
  • Configuration of the Application to accurately represent the clients business and meet their functional requirements
  • Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate improved client processes and smooth project implementation
  • Creation of Business Requirements and Functional Specifications as part of the customization process including planning, documentation and execution of supporting test cases
  • Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to defined specifications/ requirements
  • Drive client / partner focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of project tasks
  • Deliver quality training to clients enhancing company Education Services brand
  • Support pre-sales, scoping and requirement definition programmes

Required Experience

Typically an Associate Business Consultant Trainee at Wall Street Systems will have the following experience:
  • A recent graduate with a Degree in Business, Finance or Business Information Systems
  • A proven work record with solid prior employer references
  • Some understanding of work flow and functions within a bank or corporate treasury
  • Some exposure to financial markets including foreign exchange, money markets, derivatives, accounting, cash management, and bank interactions a plus

  • Good customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • An enthusiasm for taking responsibility
  • A self-motivated and hard working individual who is goal orientated, able to work with minimal supervision and contribute effectively to the team
  • A passion for knowledge
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written.
  • A working knowledge in information systems, specifically UNIX/Windows NT environments is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial industry, instruments and market is a plus
  • Must be willing to travel
