Job Description

Wall Street Systems is looking for a .NET C# / VB Developer to join the Derivatives and Structured Products group within Wall Street FXBO R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of the UI components for our highly-sophisticated OTC derivatives trading and risk management applications. This role requires command of C# and VB6 and a commitment to rigorous design. You must be a highly-motivated, creative thinker who can work in a hybrid technology environment. As we expand into the SOA space, this position provides a unique opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies, develop familiarity with derivatives and make a significant contribution to the continued success of our product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the UI application in Visual Studio .NET environment
  • Maintain and improve the existing VB6 applications
  • Provide assistance to 2nd line support in the investigation and resolution of issues

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years of working experience in C# / VB6 development is required
  • Prior experience in finance/banking systems is preferable
  • Strong experience in UI and system design with .NET and MS products
  • Highly motivated in keeping up with latest technologies in the industry
  • Solid knowledge in Silverlight and Web Services Technology
  • Working knowledge in XML-based technologies including XSLT transformations
  • Working knowledge of databases include SQL, Oracle and DB2
