Job Description
The Shared Service Centre Technical Consultant will have strong experience implementing software solutions, ideally within the Corporate / Treasury space. Operating within a team environment, sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues, is essential. This position is based in Prague.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration of the application to meet technical requirements
- Providing solution design and build according to client’s requirements and specifications
- Development of customer specific features, including interfaces
- Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate smooth project implementation
- Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to defined specifications/ requirements
- Ensure efficient and timely completion of project tasks
- Support implementation projects
Required Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of the corporate treasury or financial markets environments is desirable, in addition to specialized experience such as having worked with other Treasury and Portfolio Management systems
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Extensive Computer skills including :
- Unix system administration (Solaris, HP UX, or Linux).
- Windows system administration.
- Administration of relational database management systems (Sybase, MS-SQL Server or Oracle). Oracle and MSSQL are preferred.
- Programming skills in Java.
- Programming skills of scripting languages (Perl, Python)
- Programming in SQL
- Web server technologies
- General understanding of networking and HW
- Knowledge of implementation/upgrade processes
- A proven track record in project work is valued, including:
- Ability to manage the expectations on deliverables Organizational planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
- An enthusiasm for taking responsibility and a passion for knowledge
- Position may involve limited travel
- A self-motivated and hard working individual who is goal orientated, able to work with minimal supervision but also effectively as part of a team
- Fluent in English both spoken and written. Other languages an asset.
