Job Description

As part of a software implementation team, the Business Consultant role requires the analysis customer requirements for highly specialised financial software functionality and implements the functionality that meets these requirements.

The Business consultant will have a good understanding of the operations of Bank or Corporate treasury and financial markets. Practical experience and involvement of implementing and supporting Treasury Management systems is required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and considered analysis of issues and appropriate solutions to meet the client’s requirements.
• Configure the Application to accurately represent the clients business and meet their functional requirements
• Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate improved client processes and smooth project implementation
• Creation of Business Requirements and Functional Specifications as part of the customisation process including the planning, documentation and execution of supporting test cases.
• Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to defined specifications/requirements.
• Drive client/partner focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of project tasks
• Deliver quality training to clients enhancing company Education Services brand
• Support pre-sales, scoping and requirement definition programmes

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Good Customer relationship and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in the financial industry, ideally working in a large/global Corporate, a Bank or for a Treasury Management software vendor
• Thorough understanding of Treasury functions within a Corporate or Bank Treasury
• Strong knowledge of financial industry, instruments and market processes
• Cross system knowledge of front office, risk, accounting and back office workflows
• A proven track record in project work
• An enthusiasm for taking responsibility and a passion for knowledge
• Applicants must be willing to travel extensively
• Fluent in English both spoken and written. Other languages an asset.
